The Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop has been in existence for over 25 years, having started when the congregation began to raise money to build the new Church Hall.

At present, we have a very willing band of 19 organisers, 42 helpers and 63 bakers.

Each year, the Coffee Shop raises between £1,700 and £1,800 and, last year, as well as providing useful funds for our own Church, we supported:

• our Jamaican Missionary Partners;
Jane Petty and her work in Mwandi;
Dr Keith Russell for his medical work in Cairo;
• Church of Scotland Board of Social Responsibility;
• Balerno in Bloom;
Ravelrig Riding for the Disabled in Balerno;
• a playground for community use at Dean Park Primary School in Balerno; and
• Fresh Start.

The Coffee Shop is open every Friday between 10 am and 12 noon in the Church Hall.

As we sit, chat, and enjoy coffee and home baking, it is very comforting to know how many people benefit from our pleasure and enjoyment. We are always looking for new helpers and customers. You would be made most welcome.

So come along one Friday, and you are sure to want to come back.
