World Church Team

The World Church Team meets every three to four months to update each other from separate areas of interest, to give support for events and fundraising and primarily to raise the awareness of world mission in the church and community.

Christian Aid
Christian Aid is an agency of the churches of the UK and Ireland. It works wherever the need is greatest, irrespective of religion. It supports local organisations which are best placed to understand local needs as well as giving help on the ground through 16 overseas offices. Christian Aid believes in strengthening people to find their own solution to the problem they face. It strives for a new world transformed by an end to poverty and campaigns to change the rules that keep people poor.

The Church of Scotland along with 39 other denominations uses Christian Aid as its official relief and development agency. When there is an emergency, one way the Church of Scotland can respond is through Christian Aid. Links with people around the world through Christian Aid networks and partner churches, enable the church here to respond to Christ's command to "feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty and clothe the naked". Together with Church of Scotland and Christian Aid are able to put the words of Christ into action throughout the world.
