Teams working on aspects of the Building Development

(Those named first are leading the groups.)

It was suggested that it would be helpful for all if we had a note of the various teams that are working on different aspects of the buildings development and what they are doing. The italic font indicates the group to which each team reports, and to whom it is accountable.

Transition Group - Events

• Appointed to arrange events and services to celebrate the Church's life at the time prior to construction and opening up after construction.

Drop-in Centre
Organisations and Groups Committee
Lawerence Mitchell, Bill Black, Margot Howie, Helen Clerk, Moira Todd
• The Organisations and Groups Committee is fulfilling its remit under Balerno 2005 report investigating the uses to which the new facilities might be put, with this sub-group exploring Drop-in Centre Options.

Fundraising Committee

• Appointed to seek funding for the development bothfrom within the congregation and beyond. Much of its work is now done.

Transition Group - Logistics
Buildings and Identity Committee
Anne Shaw, Brian Buchanan, Jim Goodbrand, Jared Hay, Lesley Henderson, Joan Swift, Jean Willamson
• Appointed to investigate accomodation and storage during construction; investigate the purchase of necessary furniture, equipment, decor, lighting (generally the fitting out of the buildings) in consultation with the Artistic Matters Committee, and make recommendations to te Buildings and Identity Committe about purchases.

• The group has the authority to co-opt people as necessary for particular purposes.
